STUDENT SIGN-IN
EXPECTATIONS FOR AFTER SCHOOL TUTORING
After school tutoring is available to students on Tuesday and Thursday in the BSMS Media Center, from 3:50 pm to 4:50 pm after school. This service is free to BSMS students.

Tuesdays are designed for homework help. Students are expected to bring assignments with them, and teachers are available to answer questions and offer assistance in all subject areas.

Thursdays are focused on math help. Students are put into small groups based on their current math level, and key skills are reviewed and reinforced; practice work and other instructional material will be provided. Help is available for students who are currently enrolled in Math 6, Math 6+, Math 7, Math 7+, Math 8, and Math I.

Rides should be arranged to pick students up when they are dismissed at 4:50 pm. At the conclusion of tutoring, students will be escorted to the carpool area; it is not necessary for parents to come inside to pick students up.

Students who attend tutoring will be held to the following expectations:
- Use of electronics (except calculators when allowed), is not permitted during tutoring. Cell phones may not be used as calculators.
- Food, drinks, gum, and candy are not allowed in the media center.
- Come prepared with all necessary materials and assignments.
- Be attentive, respectful, and cooperative toward teachers. Respect other students, and their right to learn. Disruptions are unacceptable.
- Always give your best effort. Use your time wisely; be prepared to work and utilize the help available.
- Take responsibility for your own learning; ask for help when needed.

Students who do not do not follow these guidelines will be asked to leave, and may not be allowed to return.

Student Dismissal:
- Students will be dismissed from tutoring at 4:50 pm, and will be escorted to the carpool area.
